Roller Derby World Cup - Innsbruck 2025

The fourth Roller Derby World Cup (RDWC) was held at Innsbruck's Olympia World between the 3rd and 6th of July 2025, hosted by Fearless Bruisers Roller Derby, Innsbruck. The world wide pandemic had delayed this event but it didn't deter skaters from across the world putting togetehr teams to represent thier nations. 48 teams competed in this World Cup, making it the biggest event held to date. Up from the 38 teams in Manchester (2018), 30 in Dallas (2014) and 13 at the first World Cup in Toronto in 2011.

France broke into the top four for the first time, taking fourth spot after a bronze playoff game against England. England went one better on Manchester and secured third, whilst Australia and USA fought it out in a replay of the 2018 final. The USA taking the title as they did in 2018.

For this event I decided to go as an event photographer so that I could cover a bit of everything on offer. Below are a selection of photographs from the event. The full albums can be found on my Facebook page.
